outfit #1 - I wore this to an engagement party for a favorite couple of me and my husband's. this dress was a 10$ score at H&M. at a recent Nordstrom fashion show I fell in love with a this green dress {it really was soooo much cuter on the runway} but with a price tag of 375$ it definitely was not happening. it has a slight resemblance don't you think?
this was a dress that couldn't be worn with kiddos around. that would quickly become inappropriate because I could really only raise my hands this much. but it was perfect for standing around chatting with friends sipping on a great drink {was introduced to a moscow mule, love at first sip} and yummy bites.
I call this the "poddy pose". right? you can't even see my shoes but they are these great chocolate brown booties with the slightest platform.
and my earrings - gold chain painted slightly white. they are strung in a long fringe look. but its in the details - small delicate gold filagree beads along the top and an asymmetrical wrapped gold-filled wire that was inspired by a belt and buckle. I have been reaching for them whether I am dressy or more casual. they give a great modern twist to a classic gold look.

outfit #2 - more green, and some stripes. plus pink lips. fun? it might be a little dr. suess-esque but I dig it. btw - this was the day after the above party. if my hair is still working, I just let it be. choose your battles.
you know when you find a basic shirt and love it so much you buy it in multiple colors? well I had it in 3 colors then to my surprise a year later it showed up in stripes.
can you see my earrings? I forgot to do a closeup. I found these great brown coppery fresh water pearls. they are just a few steps away from goddy. is that a word? but with gold filagrees they just kind of sing to me. especially with my new green theme.
