just a couple things...

so at first when glimpses of neon started popping up, I just wasn't so sure.  but I have definitely embraced it.  the Chloe Swarovski Crystal Dangle earrings are case in point.

and even if you are still in your just.a.little.bit.scrubby.leggings, I figured if I added these such earrings, red lips, and boots, this was an acceptable outfit for this day.

so here we go.

scarf - random holiday bazaar last year
shirt - h&m
leggings - ideology, Macys
boots - Frye
earrings - Lucia K. Chloe

but I am excited to announce that these along with the other new Lucia K. jewelry pieces are live on Amazon.  have you seen their newly redesigned fashion and jewelry website?  at the end of october endless.com became part of amazon.com/fashion

all this bright color going on together kind of works right?

starting next thursday {hopefully}, I have convinced Ali to help me talk about curls on the blog.  she has that fabulous kind of curly hair.  you know the kind that does curls or waves or sleek and straight perfectly, even buns and ponytails.   a couple people have asked about what stuff we use.  so gonna try out thursday curlsday.  kind of catchy right?

happy thursday.

kirsty

what i wore

i had three nights in a row with fun events, naturally i wore the same dress all three nights.  hey, if its not broke, why fix it right?

the thing is often i am lucky to get out of the house with washed hair, makeup on, add in shaved legs and lipstick, and thats quite big.  and each event was with different people, so duplication was completely acceptable.

outfit first round - a Lucia K. trunk show at my favorite local boutique for their friends and family event.  if you don't know about this bi-annual event and you live in seattle, you need to.  i was going for hip.  don't tell me if i got it our not.  and copper with navy is a fave combo.

dress - French Connection, Queen Anne Dispatch {this is the only place i have found the dark navy dress}
tights - Target
bracelet - Lucia K. Nora Crystal and Silk Ombre {doubled up}

outfit round two - a double date, drinks with friends.  so the dress is actually a dark dark navy.  so this time i paired it with navy tights and hematite earrings and black shoes.  more cool colors.

tights - Anthropologie

outfit round three - saved the best for last.  9th anniversary dinner with my husband.  rockin it {super} short with no tights for the occassion.  and my little helper.

{all the same items mixed together again.  lets not be redundant}

and one more outfit so you know i don't always wear the same thing.

i am obsessed with this infinity scarf.  its so cozy and a great dark gray with tiny little gold glitter in it.  and its a perfect pair with these earrings.  if you are wanting to wear more gold but a little unsure, these are the perfect start.  gold chain painted with white, so you get a glimmer without too much flash.

shirt - H&M
lace tanktop - Nordstrom Rack
jeans - Seven for all Mankind
shoes - Cole Haan
scarf - Spun, Queen Anne Dispatch

hope that everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving with those they love and enjoy.

happy tuesday.

best,
kirsty

what i wore {boots and earrings double timing}

couple outfits that I wore this week.  i've noticed that if I find something i like, I wear it repeatedly until I get my fill, and then move on to my next fave.  i do this with recipes too.  it must have to do with my lack of organization in my life.

well anyways.  here are two different outfits, same boots and earrings in both.  of course they are high on my current favorite list.
this tunic I actually got in the summer and wore with sandals, boots, now tights, belted, not-belted.  good mileage here.  its a little short in the front without tights but the longer length in back helps prevent flashing others.  and its comfy.

new boots.  i have been looking forever for booties.  you know that item that just looks soooo great on everyone else you see wearing it but when you try them on, goofy?  well that has been my experience with booties but I just sooo wanted them.  these are the closet I am going to get.  I had to send a couple of my stylish friends a picture text to get encouragement that i could pull them off.  now i'm kind of in love.  don't you love smartphones for this feature?!

and my earrings.  doesn't the ombre look so fun hanging in my ears?  every time i wear them, at least one person will stop and want to take a closer look at my earrings.  each pair is hand-painted, your own little original masterpiece.

tights - target

outfit #2 - lets talk high wasted skirts.  they make your legs look nice and long.  they give those shirts that are fabulous if not just too short a new life.  and with tights its totally appropriate all winter.

i am very much in need of a haircut and style.  but i have been so patiently growing my hair out, i just don't want to have any length cutoff.  however, when I see these photos I realize how badly i need to make an appt.  ugh.

boots again.  and tights too i guess.

and my ombre earrings.  this outfit is quite neutral, i thought that the earrings added a perfect bit of color and kept everything from being too washed out.

 coat - diesel
shirt - gap
skirt - skirt, h&m

happy wednesday.

what i wore {brights and stripes}

what i wore this week.

super soft sweater, at least 5 yrs old.  fave white tank - just might be a maternity item.  and some favorite comfy jeans {that were pretty much my go-to jeans all summer}.  with the addition of heels to pull it all together.

seemed appropriate to match bright earrings with my bright sweater, and bright lips {although slightly darker/more berry than the normal red, can you tell?  think this is my winner for winter}.  the sweater is kind of a tie-dyed floral-y design.  did I mention its really soft, and I love extra long sleeves.

these earrings are a great addition to Lucia K.  the mix of orangey coppery pink, and fushia swarovski crystals and the delicate gold filagree details, even down to the bright pink swarovski rhinestone peaking out the bottom.

sweater - old
tank - H&M maternity {great spot for maternity clothes if I may}
jeans - Hudson, Nordstrom Rack
shoes - Cole Haan

 outfit #2 - trying to rock the maxi into fall.  what do you think?  I think it will be seen next with a big fluffy sweater,  the tricky part is that it doesn't really work in the rain and rain is what we have had the majority of the time lately.

the chloe necklace adds a bit more dressiness to this outfit.  the dark chocolate velvet ribbon tied in a bow on the side.  and the earrings are coppery fresh water pearls with gold filagrees.  they just might be making an appearance on Lucia K. for the holiday.

can you tell whats different between the top picture and the one below.  after this top picture was taken, I decided the red shoes were just too much.

skirt - Hive and Honey
shirt - Rebecca Beeson, Anthropologie
red shoes - Georgina Goodman, Anthropologie
jewelry - Lucia K. Chloe Necklace and pearl earrings {not yet on our website}

very tired this week - adjusting to daylight savings time gets harder and harder for me each year.  dreaming of a nap.

linking up with pleated poppy today for what i wore wednesday.

happy wednesday.

best,
kirsty
