Embellished Sandals - To Take it Down a Notch

Ok not gonna lie, you pretty much should be wearing bloomers under this dress, especially at my age.  I was just completely smitten with the sleeves and the ruching.  Funny story - wore this to an event that had a buffet style dinner and make your own drinks.  Couldn't do it.  Nick had to serve me all night.  Ugh.  I'm actually thinking of wearing this dress with my new frame skinnies going forward.  I just can't give up on it yet.

Call it a tunic.

In the meantime, the perfect way to tone down the sass-factor of a dress is to pair it with a flat sandal.  Just because it's a flat doesn't mean it has to be boring.  Have some fun.  I love this lace-up sandal for just this reason, the balance of simple without being the least bit boring.

Bonus:  The nude color keeps the leg line long.  More flattering.  Not that I need to show more leg, but flattering is always helpful.

This is my second look in my Cocobelle Sandals, I shared my first outfit on Monday.   Since it's a 4-way Friday series, be sure to check out Jenn's look and come back Friday for my recap.
